Why do I use bones?
-
To put it simply, I find bones to be incredibly beautiful. I’ve had a great love for animals all my life, and in more recent years I’ve taken a fascination with the post-mortem aspect of them. I do not condone the harm of any being for the sake of art, and show deep respect to the materials I work with. Over time I have collected bones, specimens, and taxidermy as a way to show my love of preservation.
-
We all come from this beautiful earth and I love being able to use the organic materials she provides us. I like to think that using bones provides a second life to those they come from. Life and Death coexist; we should embrace that balance, rather than turn away from it.

I hope to share my values with those around me through my creations and to open up these ideas to people who may be closed off at first glance. I never want to force this belief on anyone. I know that not everybody will agree, but art takes on so many different forms. Art itself is meant to broaden the boundaries of the world and open up new perspectives which is the purpose behind Fox Eye Metallics.
Meet the Artist
Hello! My name is Evelyne, and I’m a queer artist based out of South-Eastern Pennsylvania. I’m also the owner/creator behind Fox Eye Metallics LLC! I have been creating various types of art since I was young, however bone craft has become a growing passion over the past few years. It started with creating some pieces for my closest friends, and with their overwhelming support, I gained the confidence to create my company. My goal is to make unique pieces for those with a more alternative style to reflect their extraordinary selves.
The first step into Fox Eye Metallics was at the Lancaster Tattoo Festival in March 2024.
I owe a massive thank you to my dear friends, Erica and Ben, at the Boz Ink Studio for encouraging me to make some jewelry to sell at their booth.
I'd also like to thank my friends and family for the immense support they've given me since I started. To my best friend Kamryn, for creating the face of Fox Eye Metallics- Felix the fox. And to my ride or die Maddie, for listening to every thought and idea that has come across my mind and for suggesting your own.
Last but certainly not least, I'm incredibly grateful to the people who've bought from my brand since the beginning, and to those that continue to do so. I wouldn't be here without all of you!
